I was showing Michael a worksheet that really helps a person become aware of what they eat and their motivation while eating it. I found it fascinating and he seemed interested. Then he asked, “Do you think I’m fat?” What is soooo funny about this is that I have heard him lament dozens of times about how he weighs the weight he did when we married but things have “shifted” a little bit. 🧐
Keep in mind, he works out 4 times a week, bowls as many times as he is allowed (sometimes the bowling alley owner goes home to sleep), paints, writes, creates YouTube videos, is currently writing a tax preparation course….and the list goes on and on….. BUT when it comes to his weight, he seems to be bothered by it.
Michael, “Do you think I’m fat?”
Bonny, “No. But I have to listen to you lament almost daily and I thought this sheet might bring me some relief.” (He is diabetic….every ounce he gains goes straight to his waistline….that’s the REAL issue.)
He looked at the sheet…..studied the questions…..
Michael, “Nope. I’d rather not eat than have to fill out that sheet.”
Problem solved.
See? Sometimes coaching comes in little packages! 😁
(But when the chips come out……that’s another story!)
